Fingerprint Liveness Detection Test 2011

DERMALOG with the best results

DERMALOG outperforms competitors in the second international Fingerprint Liveness Detection Test in 2011 (LivDet 2011)

In the year 2009 the first international Fingerprint Liveness Detection competition – LivDet 2009 –  was conducted by the University of Cagliary, Italy and Clarkson University, USA. The best results were from the algorithm submitted by Dermalog.

The goal for the LiveDet 2009 competition was to compare different methodologies for software based fingerprint Liveness detection with a common experimental protocol and a large dataset of spoof and live images.

In the year 2011 the second international Fingerprint Liveness Detection competition – LivDet 2011 –  has been conducted by the University of Cagliary, Italy and Clarkson University, USA. In this competition DERMALOG achieved the best performance in Part I and II.

The goal for the LivDet 2011 competition was to test the state-of-the art development in Liveness detection. In the first part liveness detection software algorithms were evaluated by testing different datasets of spoof and live fingerprint images.

In the second part, which was the system part - the participants were invited to send a fingerprint livescanner together with its spoof detection software. This was evaluated by testing the system with a set of live subjects and spoof samples.
