What you can expect

At our headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, you’ll be working on the latest generation of biometric products. The tech stack and the combination of hardware and software are therefore unique, as is the interplay of IT and biometrics. Whether in the field of Technics, Projects & Quality Management, Biometric Products (R&D), Sales, or Administration – in our individual teams we work on important and socially relevant projects that are applied in particular to the serious business of security. This does not mean however that we forget to enjoy our work along the way.

Who we are

We’re an owner-operated company, managed in a similar style to a family business, with flat hierarchies, as well as fast communication and decision-making channels. We describe ourselves as a “speedboat”, reacting swiftly to individual customer requests and sometimes even realizing the seemingly impossible. The team spirit at the heart of DERMALOG’s corporate culture – firmly established and widely regarded – helps us to achieve this.

What we’re working on

Besides the human fingerprint, the face, iris, palm of the hand and other features are also suitable for biometric identification. In other words, for identifying a person’s unique characteristics. Thanks to our intensive research and development work, and our success realising key projects around the world, we’ve continued to consistently expand our product portfolio.

DERMALOG’s various teams now support government institutions and private companies operating in a wide range of sectors with their biometric products and solutions. As a company, we protect the identities of millions of people, meaning that we carry a great responsibility towards societies all around the globe.

There’s a real emphasis on responsibility at DERMALOG. We expect you to have a strong sense of initiative and a will to get involved and make your mark. Making sure you’re inspired by new ideas is important to us and we provide assistance when it comes to implementing those ideas. When you first join our ranks, a mentor will be assigned to support you and familiarise you with our way of working. For us, it goes without saying that we always help each other out with exciting project adventures.

What binds us together

Everyone at DERMALOG is given the opportunity to grow freely as an individual, and to develop their own ideas and drive them forward, acting on their own initiative in their particular area of expertise. You quickly learn to appreciate the mix of collegial team spirit and hands-on mentality. Strong bonds within the team is just as important to us as individual hard work.
