DERMALOG Refugee Registration

Registration helps protect refugees against forced return

There are many challenges in managing and allocating refugees. Large numbers of arriving migrants require fast allocation, accommodation and care. The refugees’ often poor health and malnutrition demand the reliable description of their health status and adequate treatment. Cultural and language barriers are challenges not to be underestimated.

Significant numbers of refugees many of whom without papers require fast and accurate documentation and identities cannot always be identified beyond all doubt. The DERMALOG solution connects an Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) with multiple locations to record and identify refugees. These systems enable storing and matching of biometric fingerprint data at a central site.

Registration

Refugee registration is carried out with DERMALOG fingerprint scanners in a safe, quick and efficient way. The scanners are optimized for creating high-quality images of rolled fingerprints as well as tenprints. Latest optical technology for Liveness Detection offers protection against attempts of fraud.

AFIS

Following registration, the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) by DERMALOG matches fingerprints and reports attempts of multiple registration. The size of the secured fingerprint reference database is virtually unlimited.

Optional Solutions

The system can be extended with additional components. These include biometric access to homes, financial aid or the supply of material goods and food. Furthermore, healthcare for entitled persons is ensured.

The DERMALOG LF10 is the first tenprint and rolled fingerprint scanner providing liveness detection. Using its large scanning area the LF10 is optimized for creating high quality images. Its advanced optical system captures plain fingerprint images and rolled fingerprints within a second. From border management to voter registration or law enforcement - a comprehensive biometric solution.
